Section events will be listed on the VMCC national website's calendar of events, with any last-minute updates posted here. We also operate a text-based communication system to keep members posted on activities. To join in with this, you'll need to speak to our section secretary.
This is the section's premier event. It is, as the name suggests, aimed at older machines, though contrary to the name, we have now opened entries to all rigid framed machines.
It is based in Lancashire's beautiful Trough of Bowland, and consists of a 50 mile route along quiet roads suitable for vintage and veteran machines and taking in stunning scenery. A support & recovery vehicle is provided. It's a friendly, non-competitive event, starting and finishing at Goosnargh Village Hall, where refreshments are available on the day.
The date for 2026 is saturday 20th June.
The Wray run will be held again this year, on Saturday 16th May.
As last year, it will be based at Bridge House Farm, with it's excellent facilities. This year there will be a choice of three routes. The longest, 61 miles, will be the same as last year, and take in Ingleton, passing Ribblehead viaduct to Hawes and returning through stunning scenery via Sedbergh and the bikers meet spot at Devil's Bridge, Kirkby Lonsdale. There will be two short routes of around 22 miles, allowing riders to take morning and afternoon rides with a lunch and social break at Bridge House Farm. This year the runs will be open to motorcycles and three wheelers up to 1970. "Tulip diagram" route sheets will be available, together with gpx files for use with compatible sat-nav devices. These will be available to download nearer the time.
Bridge House Farm will be our host for the day and have produced a special display ramp to introduce each of the owners and bikes at the start of the run and should be a great photo opportunity.
The usual hospitality will be available with locally produced food from the outside catering and the tea rooms.
There is ample parking for all other motorcycles both classic and modern so please make a day of it and have a ride out to see how much fun you can have on our older bikes and hopefully experience the joy, community and benefits of the VMCC membership.
For those travelling and want to stay overnight in caravans and campers then Bridge House Farm can look after you. Please contact them directly.
If you want to pre book your Run entry before 1st May you can guarantee your place on the run and enjoy a thank you discount. Please complete an entry form, available at the bottom of this page.
We are happy to accept entries after the 1st and on the day however spaces may be limited.
Bookings are open to VMCC members as well as non-members so don't worry if you are not a member. Your entry will include a VMCC day membership and all the benefits this provides.
All Wray Run entrants can benefit from our special display area, run marshal support including recovery of you or your bike back to base if needed.
