The Wray Run

NEW for the 17th May 2025 is the Wray Run, a partnership between the Northwest VMCC sections and Bridge House Classic car & Bike Events. The event will be a celebration of all Motorcycles but in particular our Motorcycle heritage leading up to 1949. Why 1949? This was the first year of the Banbury run and 2025 is the 75th anniversary of the event so why not pay homage to this world famous event by replicating its spirit here in the amazing countryside of Lancashire and North Yorkshire. Taking in the Forest of Bowland and Yorkshire Dales with iconic landmarks and villages such as the Ribblehead viaduct, Devils Bridge, Settle, Kirkby Lonsdale and our base, the picturesque village of Wray. Jon and the team at Bridge House Farm have kindly offered their facilities along with all the usual northern hospitality including their famous Hog roast and locally produced fare as well as the attendance of a few surprise celebrities and potentially a few Motorcycle manufacturers to make it a full day of entertainment. At the heart of our Motorcycle focus will be a display area for ALL motorcycles made up to and including 1949. In addition to the display area will be organized runs to take in the wonderful congestion free surrounding countryside. The rest of the event will want to welcome ALL motorcycles. This will be important as many members do not own or know little of our Veteran & Vintage m/c's Having our Veteran and Vintage along with the broader motorcycle family will help encourage new membership of the VMCC as well as to inspire others to own veteran and vintage motorcycles.
